Cute Stories from Daddy

Saturday I was laying Abigail down for her nap and reading her a book. Soren was in the bed with us awaiting his turn and decided to listen to my heart. I asked Soren if he remembered why the heart beats. "It's punking blood." he replied. "And why does it pump blood" I asked? He didn't remember. I then expained the circulatory system again; air into the lungs, blood extracts the oxygen, heart pumps blood throughout the body. When I finished Soren said,"Theeee End...That was a good story".

Sunday morning I stayed home with Abigail because she was sick, while Ivy took "the boys" to church. When they arrived home I opened the front door as Soren walked towards the house from the truck. He looked at me and said, "Is Alyce at mine home?" (Alyce is the older woman in his life, by about two months) "No, she's not here today", I replied. Soren walked in the house, stopped and said, "I so disappointed".

Later on Sunday I was telling Soren and Abigail that we would have two ladies staying with us this week. They work with the Center for Bio-Ethical Reform which is a Pro-Life organization we have supported for many years. They are displaying the Genocide Awareness Project at UK in Lexington. Not to go into as much detail with the children as I did with the circulatory system, I simply told them that the two ladies are in town to help babies, so we are going to help them by giving them a place to sleep and eat. Soren said, "They are going to help the babies?" "Yes" I replied. He looked at me and said, "Are they Angels?"

To Grandmommy's House We Go

Before we left Tim cut fingernails and toenails. All my children are very tickleish on their feet! One the trip down we stopped at McDonalds for lunch and Soren got a pirate hat in his Happy Meal! Of course Abigail would snatch it everytime Soren turned his back! Arrrr.....Abigail started eating with a big spoon and fork at Grandmommy's house! She actually did quite well!Of course there were times she would drop what was on her spoon and then have to fish it out of her bib.

Easter

Well since I have been out of town for the last week, I obiviously haven't updated our page. This is our Easter picture with cousins McKenzie and Daniel. Of course everyone isn't looking, but I think that getting 4 out of 5 children looking is a remarkable feat! Notice that 2 children are being held in place!
Ian is getting so big! I thought I would put a picture of him since he doesn't seem to get as much space on here.

Solid Food

Well we are crossing the bridge to solid food. I can't believe that this picture turned out so well. I only had one opportunity and this is what I got. I need 3 hands just to feed Ian - 1 to feed him, 1 to keep him from grabbing the spoon, and one to either hold the bowl or his feet to keep him from kicking the bowl off the tray! I'm pretty impressed with myself that I got this picture while feeding him left handed and we didn't spill the bowl (although it was really close!)

Beautiful Days Ahead

It's incredible to me that we had about 5 inches of snow on Saturday and then by Wednesday this is what it looks like! If you have been around Abigail very long you know this is very typical of her - never watching where she is going!
I think Soren is just about too big for this now. He can't steer because his knees are in the way (not that he has learned the concept of steering yet anyway!)

Tim's trying to teach Abigail her letters. He's a very patient man!
This one's just purely for your enjoyment!! Isn't he just adorable!

Singing and Dancing

A friend let us borrow a Karaoke for preschool. Soren and Abigail both love singing and dancing to the music (unless of course I get the camera out!) Just click on the play button twice and the picture will come up.

My prince and his princesses

This is Soren's friend Alyce. She came over to play this morning.

We had fun playing dress up. Aren't they beautiful princesses?
What a lucky prince to have 2 beautiful princesses. I must admit that it was quite amusing to watch Abigail walk on her princess shoes.

Moments like these!

It's moments like these that give me hope that my children will watch out for each other and not always fight!

It's also moments like these that just make my heart smile!

Snow Day

This is what we woke up to this morning! I am guessing that we had about 5 inches before the morning was over!
Ian just stayed warm inside with Daddy!

Trying it out!

Well, I think I am going to make an attempt to enter this world of blogging! I am afraid that I am going to get started and then get too busy to make posts, but I'll never know if I don't at least try! Here are a few pictures to get started.
